With new responsibilities, first-time managers are likely going to face new hurdles and will need support along the way in order to become successful and reach their full potential. A recent survey by CCL shows that almost 60% of first-time managers never received any training when they transitioned into their first leadership role. Not preparing first-time managers weakens the leadership pipeline and may hurt the bottom line of any organization.
